The Photographers Eye Workshop

The Photographer‘s Eye
Friday, August 7th.
10:0am – 4:00pm Board Room @ Imaginon
1 hour lunch break beginning @ 12:30pm
This is a FREE event – to register email: amber.brighthouse@gmail.com
(Students must be at least 12 to participate in Imaginon loft activities.)
An all day intensive photography workshop (bring a bagged lunch) taught by Amber Benton. This class will focus on composition; so while a high quality camera is nice, it is not necessary for this class. The class will also leave Imaginon to walk around downtown so wear comfortable clothing and shoes and bring a water bottle.
Students will learn:
Rules of composition. That photography is a full contact sport – the photographer must move to get the shot. Controlling the eye of the viewer, the basics of photo editing using Photoshop and Light Room.
Things students will need:
A camera or phone with the ability to share photos with the instructor either via email or SD card. WiFi is available at Imaginon. A laptop with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Software can be obtained from a free 30 day trial or one month subscription of Adobe’s photographer package. This does require a credit or debit card but can be cancelled any time in the 30 day period without penalty. The subscription cost is $9 a month if the student would like to continue after the class. Software must be PRE-INSTALLED before arriving at class.
